Avonmouth LPG Conversion Programme
We were commissioned in 2019 to set up a £100m programme of work. The Avonmouth LPG Conversion Programme is divided in two phases. Phase 1 is the conversion of a facility in Avonmouth from an LNG peak shave storage to a bulk LPG storage facility to allow the importation of LPG via road tankers and the storage of both pressurised and low temperature LPG. Phase 2 is the construction of an LPG transfer system for bulk unloading of refrigerated cargo from the Bristol Port Authority through to the existing Avonmouth bulk liquid storage terminal.
Our commission included the development of a Programme Management Plan and advice in relation to the clients contracting strategy for the first phase of work which is now under construction.
We are now providing ongoing audit support and sit on the Programme Steering Group to oversee construction and future development.
This is an example of us working closely with a client to augment their delivery team at a senior level by infilling a knowledge and experience gap.
