Glasgow Subway Modernisation Safety Verification Management

Since 2018 we have worked closely with the senior management team at Glasgow Subway, mapping and helping them implement the transformation process to driverless trains on the £280m Subway Modernisation Programme

Working with the client we wrote and are now administering the Safety Verification Scheme, as required under ROGS to demonstrate the new Rolling Stock and Signalling system is safe to be bought into use.

Working with both the main contractor, operator and maintainer we oversee the delivery of the safety processes which manage the changes being made by the introduction of the new or altered asset. The ultimate aim is that the body of evidence will be available to support the revision to or application for new safety certification and safety authorisations from the ORR.

Due to our knowledge and ability, we were able to positively impact the delivery of the first significant change to the asset and we are now working to continue this success for future significant or substantial changes.
