Workforce Mobility Project

Working with Turner & Townsend, Anturas was appointed to assist Scottish Borders Council with the initiation of the Workforce Mobility project funded by the Edinburgh and South-East Scotland City Region Deal.

Recruiting a project team, including a Data Analyst, GIS Analyst and Policy Analyst, we completed a baselining exercise to quantify to what extent transport barriers prevent access to employment, further education and training in the region.

We had been leading the implementation of public transport trials in the region utilising employee / student postcode data (from a range of employers / institutions) to better understand demand for public transport services and help support modal shift.

Our Role
Providing strategic advice and programme management expertise, we worked with Scottish Borders Council to complete the baseline assessment, stakeholder identification and mapping and creation of a programme for the project. We are now supporting Scottish Borders in the implementation phase of the project.
